Local “View & Vote” American Idol Events Continue For Jessica Sanchez, Eastlake’s Hometown favorite as she competes in program’s Top 5
Only a few weeks remain for this season’s American Idol and San Diego’s Jessica Sanchez continues to impress each week. Now in the top five, Sanchez will once again count on the support of her fans – not to mention her outstanding performances – to earn a shot at the title. Many in the community will gather at EastLake Tavern & Bowl to watch the show and vote for Sanchez on Wednesday, May 2.
A spot in the final four is at stake as San Diego’s Jessica Sanchez competes this week on American Idol. The EastLake resident continues to wow her fans, the show’s huge television audience and the Idol judges with stellar performances each week. With only five contestants remaining, Sanchez, the youngest one still competing, will look to advance to the next round and take another step toward the finale.
This week’s “View & Vote” event will once again take place at the EastLake Tavern & Bowl in the EastLake Design District. Chula Vista’s Tommy Sablan of the Jeff and Jer morning radio program will serve as emcee, Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox will be there to show her support, and several local performers will add to the festive atmosphere. Students from DanzArt Academy, Eastlake High Jazz Band and the EastLake Middle School Choir are scheduled to entertain attendees beginning at 5:30 p.m. The family-friendly event will also include raffle prizes and designated voting areas.
