The story of Eastlaketimes.com
In 2009, Eastlake Times was founded by local Eastlake residents and business owners. The loosely – affiliated group wanted a public forum to discuss the issues regarding the community of Eastlake, CA.
In mid 2011, the site reached over 5,000 visitors per month and the team decided to revamp the site with fresher content, free advertising, a robust social media presence and a classified section and Eastlake Business directory.
Meet the Eastlake Times Team:
Mark Archer is the visionary behind Eastlake Times and is an Eastlake Resident, business owner, Eastlake REALTOR® San Diego Real Estate Consultant and Real Estate Investment Advisor. He is a frequent contributor to Eastlake Times and blogs about Eastlake Real Estate, Eastlake business and the San Diego Real Estate Market.
You may also occasionally find Mark writing about local restaurants, the San Diego Chargers, and fine establishments within the San Diego & Eastlake area.

In 2012 Jorge Balvaneda joined Eastlake Times to blog about Chula Vista Sports. Jorge is the co-founder of ChulaVistaSports.net which covers all sporting and outdoor activities (hiking, biking, running, etc) in and around Chula Vista. Chula Vista Sports has an expansive directory of Chula Vista sports leagues, teams, and resources. It also maintains an events calendar making it easier for organizations to publicize their league events and fund raising activities.
When Jorge is not writing, filming, or hiking, you can find him Bravado Awards working on corporate awards, sports trophies, donor walls and bronze plaques. If that isn’t enough, Jorge is the active President of Eastlake Business Association, a organization based in Eastlake that helps small business professionals and small business owners.
Local Web Master and graphic designer Kurt Bunch has been helping companies look good on the web for over 9 years now and joined the team at Eastlake Times in 2011. He has lived in the Chula Vista area for 21 years and loves to help small businesses get a great looking website. His most recent projects have been mobile marketing, consulting with small businesses and most recently completely transforming EastlakeTimes.com to be mobile friendly.
