Fowl Play is Rampant in Eastlake

Have you heard the reports of strange barnyard sounds and sightings at Mater Dei Catholic High School?

There is fowl play afoot for sure!   EastlakeTimes.com has investigated and discovered egg-shells , feathers and plenty of farm based puns!  South County CYT (Christian Youth Theater) presents Honk!

This updated retelling of the classic story by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Ducking is an outrageously lively musical comedy!  The tale conveys the story of an unusual baby duck, named Ugly, hatched with four siblings.  Ugly’s desire to fit in with the other barnyard animals leads him on some feather-flying adventures!  Come see what happens when the free-range chaos separates Ugly from his beloved mother and his quest to find her; in doing so, he may just find himself!  The music, the costumes and the incredible talent in this show, co-directed by Josh & Amanda Pontsler, are absolutely EGG-cellent!   The incredibly talented cast includes youth ages 8-18.  Honk! is the culminating performance for many high school seniors such as Landen Baldwin (Ugly), Daniel Collins (Drake), and Jazmine Ruiz (Ida).  Don’t miss Honk!
