In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, your Chula Vista Firefighters are joining the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s “Passionately Pink” campaign. During the month of October, the men and women of the Chula Vista Fire Department will be raising funds and awareness for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a foundation dedicated to breast cancer research, support, and education. Your local firefighters will show that they are “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” and will be sporting pink shirts & hats during the month of October.

Additionally, Chula Vista fire engines will be adorned with magnetic pink ribbons, a symbol of the breast cancer awareness movement.

Those wishing to join the Chula Vista Fire Department in their fundraising efforts can make donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at www.passionatelypink.org via our official registered team “Chula Vista Firefighters.” Another way you can help is by eating at Chick-Fil-A. The restaurant Chick-Fil-A has offered to help in raising money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. On October 6, 12, 19, & 27, Chick-Fil-A will be donating a percentage of all sales made during 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Chick-Fil-A is located at 2089 Olympic Pkwy, Chula Vista, CA 91915. The Fire Department also encourages everyone to join us at the Komen Race for a Cure on November 6 at Balboa Park.
