Sullivan Solar Power Shines on Chula Vista
CHULA VISTA, CA (August 26, 2011) – Sullivan Solar Power, the driving force behind Chula Vista’s Solar Program, has partnered with the state-wide nonprofit organization, GRID Alternatives. This partnership will provide the opportunity for Chula Vista residents residing in revitalization areas to receive subsidized solar systems for their home.
In an effort to boost the amount of solar energy deployed in all areas of Chula Vista, Sullivan Solar Power will donate one Kyocera module for every participant in Chula Vista’s Solar Program. If 100 people participate in the program, 100 modules will be donated exclusively for GRID Alternatives projects in the City of Chula Vista. Assuming there are 100 program participants, this donation will result in 10-20 low-income Chula Vista homeowners receiving free solar systems. Kyocera modules were chosen because they are the only solar panel manufacturer located in local San Diego County and are of high quality.
Following a successful luncheon this past weekend at the Heritage Park Community Center, Chula Vista’s Solar Program is well on its way. This innovative program allows qualifying residents to go solar for no upfront cost and receive substantial cash-back awards for their involvement. The program rewards early adopters and residents who sign up first to receive the largest cash back incentive. As certain milestones are reached, an additional bonus percentage will be given to the entire community.
