Chula Vista Firefighters are helping burn injured kids attend summer Burn Camp at the Burn Institute’s “Camp Beyond the Scars”.
The 21st Annual Burn Run Fire Expo – Demo Derby, an action packed- family fun countywide fundraiser will take place at the San Diego County Fair beginning at 11 am. Sat. June 18.
Chula Vista Fire Department (CVFD) will host a press conference to kick off its READY, SET, GO! wildfire preparedness campaign. In highlighting this program, CVFD will discuss the elements of the Ready, Set, Go! campaign, which intends to prepare residents to get ready by performing the necessary brush management around their homes; get set by creating a personal action plan; and leave early and not wait on an evacuation order.
The Chula Vista Fire Department (CVFD) has secured a federal grant to help educate the public about one of our greatest threats ? wildfires. The $15,000 Emergency Management Performance Grant, awarded to local governments, is designed to maintain and increase emergency management resources.
