Chula Vista City Closures

The City of Chula Vista offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2011 in observance of Independence Day. Closures include all city recreation centers, pools, and libraries.

The Chula Vista Nature Center will be open normal hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  In addition, all Chula Vista Public Libraries will be closed July 2, 3 and 4 and will re-open on July 5 for normal hours.

Public safety will not be affected by the holiday schedule. Chula Vista’s Police department and fire stations will provide regular services. Public Works services including streets and sewers will be available on an emergency-only basis.

Please note there will not be fireworks along the Chula Vista bayfront this year.

Trash removal in the city of Chula Vista will be delayed one day.  Those who have collection on Monday will be collected on Tuesday and so forth for the week.   The Household Hazardous Waste facility will operate normally and will  be open on Saturday,
July 2 and  Wednesday, July 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
