About Eastlake, California and the story of www.Eastlaketimes.com

In early 2010, Eastlake Times was founded by local Eastlake residents and business owners.

The small group wanted a public forum to discuss the issues regarding the community of Eastlake, CA.

To save costs, the group decided to launch the site online where the material and content could be freely accessed and shared.  The website has grown from a small, local experiment to one of the most popular websites in Eastlake, Chula Vista, CA.

In mid 2011, the site reached over 5,000 visitors per month and the team decided to revamp the site with fresher content , free advertising, a robust social media presence and a classified section and business directory.
