Chula Vista Thanksgiving Day Closures

All City of Chula Vistas offices, libraries and recreation facilities, will be closed for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, November 24 and 25.

However, for the first time, some of the Citys recreation centers and gyms will be open the week of Thanksgiving observing the following schedule: Heritage Park & Recreation Center: Mon. 2-5 p.m.; Loma Verde Family Aquatic Center: Mon., Tues. and Wed. for adult lap swim 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Norman Park Center: Mon. and Wed. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tues., 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Parkway Community Center: Mon. and Wed. 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Tues. 2:30 to 9p.m.; Parkway Gymnasium: Mon. 5-8 p.m. and Sun. 12  3:45 p.m.; Salt Creek Park &Recreation Center: Mon. 8:30 a.m. 7:45 p.m. (fitness center) and 3-7:45 p.m. (center), Tues. 9 a.m.  12 and 5:30-7:45 p.m. (fitness center) and 5:30-7:45 p.m. (center), Wed. 8 a.m.  5:30p.m. (fitness center) and 3-5:30 p.m. (center), Sat. 8 a.m.  3:45 p.m. (fitness center and center); Veterans Park & Recreation Center, Tues. 2-5 p.m. The following locations will be closed the entire week: Loma Verde Recreation Center, Montevalle Park & Recreation Center, Otay Recreation Center, Parkway Family Aquatic Center and Rec & Roll Mobile Recreation.

Regular center hours will resume on Monday, November 28.

Trash pick up for the City of Chula Vista will be delayed by one day for Thursday and Friday service only. Thursday service will be on Friday and Friday service will be on Saturday.  The Household Hazardous Waste facility will also be closed on Nov. 26.

All offices will reopen for normal business on Monday, November 28.
