Eastlake Busines Owners Sue Over Drinking Water
Two years after discovering that the entire Fenton Business center was hooked up to recycled water, several business owners are still waiting to hear about a lawsuit they filed against the Otay Water District.
In August 2007 many tenants in the business center were complaining of stomach ailments and severe bouts of diarrhea. A subsequent investigation determined that the building was hooked up to recycled water instead of potable water.
The debacle caused most of the Eastlake Businesses to relocate or close and two years after the lawsuit was filed, there is still no resolution.
