Chula Vista Holiday Service Hours

Most City of Chula Vista offices will be closed for the holidays beginning Dec. 24 and continuing through the week between Christmas and New Year’s. All offices will reopen on Jan.3. The City will observe the following service schedules between Dec. 24 and Jan. 3:

Police and Fire: Emergency 9-1-1 response will remain fully operational; police officers and firefighters will maintain normal schedules with the police lobby closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1.

Animal Care Facility will be closed Dec. 24-27, open Dec. 28-31, and closed Jan. 1-3; open regular hours on Jan. 4.

Libraries: The Civic Center Branch and South Chula Vista Branch will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 through Jan. 2.

Both libraries will reopen on Jan. 3. The EastLake Branch will close Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. and reopen Jan. 3 at 5 p.m. All libraries will be adopting a new schedule in January with details to be announced later.

Recreation Centers and Parks: All City parks will be open during posted hours, however the park reservation office in Public Works will be closed. With the exception of Parkway Gym which is open Dec. 20 and re-opens Jan. 2 from 12-4 p.m., all recreation/community centers and the Parkway and Loma Verde Swimming Pool will be closed Dec. 19 through Jan. 3
