On 06-02-10 at about 0249 hours, the Chula Vista Police Department received a 911 call of two suspects who just broke a vehicle window in the 1000 block of Mountain Ash Avenue. The reporting party said the vehicle alarm was sounding and the suspects were walking around the car. After a short time they walked away and the reporting party updated dispatch with their direction of travel.

This year, fines and fees have increased from $132 to $142 for first time adult seat belt violations. For children under 16, the fine is now $445 for a first time offense.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District formally began notifying 159 teachers this week that their jobs have been eliminated.
