NCAA Collegiate Challenge Beach Volleyball Tournament hosted at CVOTC – 3/14-3/17

The CVOTC will be the host venue for a Collegiate Challenge event (NCAA sand volleyball).  The tournament, which is organized by USA Volleyball, will include teams from CSU Bakersfield, Grand Canyon University, Pepperdine University, Florida State University and Nebraska.

Expected Schedule of Events:

·         Thursday, March 14 – Games played 10:00 am to 4:30 pm (break from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm)

·         Friday, March 15 – Games played 10:00 am to 4:30 pm (break from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm)

·         Saturday, March 16 – Games played 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (break from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm); Championship game to be played Saturday, March 16 at 3:15 pm

·         Sunday, March 17 – Games played 10:00 am to 1:30 pm

The tournament is free and open to the public.  USA Volleyball is still looking for volunteers to help as ball shaggers, score keepers and stats keepers.  Interested volunteers can sign up online through this link: https://usavbeach.webconnex.com/ccvol

If you would like to request credentials, please contact Emily Cox (emily.cox@usoc.org or 619-246-3223) or Katelynn Maier (katelynn.maier@usoc.org or 609-226-9629).  Credentialed media should enter in through the Athlete Entrance rather than the Visitor Entrance to be closer to the venue.  USA Volleyball requests that interviews be cleared through the coaches prior to interviewing athletes and cameras should stay at least 5 meters back from the perimeter of the court.
