Kidville, an interactive children’s play and learning center, in the former J. Jill space
Be at the Village Walk near the Koi Pond every night at 6pm and 7pm from Dec. 1st thru December 24th and you’ll see the snow gently fall.
Between snowfalls, enjoy christmas carolers around the village.

Chula Vista Police Department is alerting residents in the Southwestern College area to recent daytime home burglaries.
Suspects have been seen driving a white van, and a Silver Nissan Armada.
The suspects have been carrying backpacks and have been targeting electronics and jewelry items.
The highway opened in 2007 but failed to catch on with commuters, many of whom complained of excessive toll charges. Prices now range up to $4 per trip.

Quite simply, it is Eastlake Church’s annual offering to provide support to various initiatives in the community and the world.
Last year’s offering allowed the church to do incredible things to serve people in need and this year’s offering will hopefully do even more to extend love, support, and assistance to initiatives that seek to care for the broken and give hope to the lost.

Chula Vista and Bonita Residents Receive Over $70k in Community Incentives
Residents of Chula Vista and Bonita have rallied together to bring to life the vision of a strong solar community. Together they have brought the largest collective deployment of residential solar energy in the City of Chula Vista and Bonita to date with Chula Vista’s Solar Program.
The City of Chula Vista has been selected for WalkSanDiego’s Kaiser Permanente Golden Footprint Award. The award celebrates individuals, agencies, organizations and projects that enhance the quality of life in the San Diego region by making neighborhoods and communities more walk-able.
Chula Vista was selected for its Third Avenue Streetscape Plan. According to the judges, This plan does not only create a walk-able business area but, more importantly creates walk-able connections between Third Avenue and surrounding neighborhoods that creates a true walk-able community. The Urban Core Specific Plan, adopted by the Chula Vista City Council in 2007, included the redesign of Third Avenue, Chula Vista’s historic “main street. To consider project goals and possible solutions,
project manager Garry Williams developed a strong partnership between the City and the Third Avenue Village Association (TAVA), downtown business owners, and adjacent property owners.
Plan details include widening Third Avenue’s sidewalks, constructing a landscaped median from H Street to Madrona Street, adding a public plaza, and installing more landscaping. The result will be a complete reworking of the street’s vehicular, transit, and pedestrian systems. Improvements include wider sidewalks, shorter crosswalks, corner curb extensions, reduction of vehicular travel lanes, and
accommodations for bicyclists. In short, the project will make one of the oldest streets in the South Bay more pedestrian friendly and transform the heart of the city from a primarily vehicular corridor system to a safer, more enjoyable destination that meets all users needs. Construction is expected to begin in February 2012.
The Chicago-based credit bureau calculates the mortgage delinquency rate as the percentage of borrowers 60 or more days behind on their payments, excluding those that are already in foreclosure. The rate increased to 5.88 percent as of the end of the third quarter.

Home values fell in almost three- fourths of U.S. cities in the third quarter as a slowing economy deterred buyers.
The median price of a single-family home decreased from a year earlier in 111 metropolitan areas out of the 150 measured, the National Association of Realtors said in a report today. The biggest declines were in Allentown, Pennsylvania; Mobile, Alabama; and Phoenix, where the median price tumbled 18 percent. Prices in Salt Lake City dropped 15 percent.
