What’s Open, Closed On Memorial Day?
Business News in Chula Vista, Community of Eastlake, Eastlake News Monday, May 30th, 2011Local, state and federal government offices throughout San Diego County will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
All Chula Vista, and Eastlake Government city offices will be closed, including PD front counter. Trash pick-up will be delayed one day.
All Chula Vista facilities will be closed, including libraries, pools and recreation centers. The Chula Vista Nature Center will be open normal hours. Trash collection will also be delayed by one day.
San Diego city parking meters and time restrictions on parking and yellow zones will not be enforced. Red, white and blue zone parking regulations will still be enforced.
All city recreation centers will be closed. City pools will be open from noon to 3 p.m.
Balboa Park will remain open, but all public buildings will be closed.
Museums which usually operate on Mondays will be open.
Chollas Lake will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Mission Trails Park Visitor center will be open its normal hours.
City golf courses and starter booths will be open and holiday rates will apply.
Police and Fire emergency crews will not be impacted, and Station 38, the citywide emergency dispatch center will be on duty.
There will be a one-day delay in trash, yard waste and curbside recycling collection for San Diego customers served by the Environmental Services Department and Monday’s collections will be picked up Tuesday, and Friday’s collections will be picked up on Saturday.
The San Diego Miramar Landfill will remain open.
