The fifth annual Chula Vista Community 5K Fun Run/Walk is set for Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista (CVOTC).
Held at one of the most inspirational locations in San Diego County, this family-friendly event offers participants a unique opportunity to run and walk through the scenic grounds that has hosted Olympic champions from across the country.
Register before May 14 to take advantage of early bird prices and to receive a free t-shirt.
The Chula Vista Community Fun Run (5K) is intended for all levels of runners, while allowing strollers and families to participate in a fun and engaging environment at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center. The gates open at 6:30 am and the Run/Walk starts at 8:00 am with an expo to follow.
The course is five kilometers spread out through the Olympic Training Center. Runners, walkers, dogs, families and strollers will weave through the multiple sport venues at the training facility. REVISED COURSE FOR 2013 – run underneath the London-replica BMX track start ramp!
Register online or by mailing the registration form (attached) to Salt Creek Community Center, 2710 Otay Lakes Rd., Chula Vista, CA 91915. Proceeds from the Fun Run benefit the Friends of Chula Vista Parks and Recreation to help support Chula Vista’s Recreation programs and services.
