Wednesday night just after 9:00 p.m. Chula Vista Police were called to the 500 block of Woodlawn after reports of shots fired near the H Street trolley station.
A male adult with a gunshot wound to the stomach was found about a block away on South Colorado Avenue. He had been knocking on doors seeking help when one resident responded to his calls for assistance. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Police officers and Sheriffs ASTREA helicopter searched the area near H Street and Interstate 5 but were unable to locate a suspect or suspects.
