The City of Chula Vista offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. Closures include all city recreation centers, pools, and libraries. The Civic Center and South Branch libraries are closed Saturday and Sunday as well; the Otay Ranch Branch is open Saturday but closed Sunday.
Public safety will not be affected by the holiday schedule. Emergency 9-1-1 calls, and police and fire stations will provide regular daily 24-hour services. Public Works Department services including streets and sewers will be available on an emergency-only basis.
Trash removal in the city of Chula Vista will be delayed one day. Those who have collection on Monday will be collected on Tuesday and so forth for the week.
The Household Hazardous Waste facility will operate normally and will be open on Saturday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
